Fans have theorized that the game was pulled because Rockstar Games did not want to renew the licenses to use music throughout the game, or its various real-world cars. Midnight Club: Los Angeles was delisted from the Xbox 360 store in October 2018. While there have been no updates on the series from Rockstar Games, there has been an odd amount of activity with past entries in the series, including the return of Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
Fans of Rockstar Games' Midnight Club series have been waiting for a new entry since 2008's Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
